My New Fish

Are those first ones Reef safe? And I love the Wrasse....

The wrasse is reef safe the rabbit fish is not. He is going into my 70 nem and semi agressive tank. He is 6 in long and will be housed with a4 in GSM clown and its giant 10 to 12 in (oral disk) LTA nem. There is also a 7in Panther grouper and a 3.5 niger trigger.

rabbitfish are generally reefsafe, but you need to keep them well fed or they might go after lps/fleshy corals. also, that rabbitfish in particular has a max size of almost 12"! recommended tank size for it is 100g. take a look http://liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=1502&N=0

on another note, keep an eye on your bioload in that tank. panthers grow 18", eat a lot and poop a lot (your clown better watch out), and need 300g tanks. nigers get a max of 12", but i have never saw one that big. all of these, minus the clown, are large fish. your parameters can get out of whack pretty easy with this kind of setup.

i have kept a carpenters before. they are overall a good reef fish. i found mine to be somewhat shy unless it was the biggest fish in the tank.

Thanks, Yup no doubt I have some fish that are going to get large. Should be really sweet. I read the panther can get up to 27 in and the trigger 20 in. The Gsm clown may eventually have to get relocated as she will only get to 6 in. Not to worry all of my large fish will be getting a 180 gal or larger to live in.

Thanks for the info on the wrasse. Thats the kind of stuff I was looking for.

If you want another panther grouper, LMK, because I've got one that needs a good home
