neat jelly on liveaquaria

B.rian

i would rather be diving
anyone catch the neat jellyfish on liveaquaria's diver's den last night?

some info on it:
Mastigias papua can thrive for many years when provided with the proper display that is either species specific, or along with sessile filter feeding invertebrates. They require feedings of zooplankton based micro foods and can even consume Artemia nauplii, Ova (prawn eggs), and a host of other meaty micro foods. Since they are photosynthetic as ... See Morewell they benefit from strong illumination. In Julian Sprung's book Invertebrates - A Quick Reference Guide, he rates these animals in regards to their hardiness in captivity as - Grows and reproduces, Life Span - Years.

i don't know what the price was. i saw the picture, but someone had already bought it, so i emailed them for info on it.

I think it was like $85 gone now. I believe that they said they were very difficult to keep.

yeah, jellyfish are tough to keep.. need a specialty tank for sure.. i believe they make tanks that are almost circular for them.. IIRC they like to swim up and down instead of from side to side.
