Need a opinion on breeding or frag tank

DLCanuck

The Canuck
Hey, I finally got my sump running :D

I got a 75gl tank down stairs with 260 pound of live sand that littlep93056 and Stef give me about two or three or more month ago. Had about six internal pump running and a light that came on for about eight hours a day to keep alive, every time I did a water change from my main tank I exchange the one in the 75gl to keep alive. Well any way I finally got the sump running. I get picture tonight to show how I did the sump. Any way my question is can I do a frag tank and a breeding tank at same time. My maroon clown breaded in the main tank already, so I am thinking to transfer them there and frag some of the coral too. Any good advice or opinions that will help me to decide the direction to go. I all ready have two metal halide 175w, a pc 110w actinic and a 36 inches URI actinic bulb. It was from my old system I had put together about nine years ago with a small sump/refugium system. Thank you guys for your time to read it and your opinions too.

I think karl or Jeremy could answer this one...

IMO I think you would be better off with a seperate system to raise the fry...

Add rock, and it looks like you've got the ingredients for both a frag and breeding tank. I doubt you'll be able to breed more than one species, though. Just watch for predatory critters in the rocks, and be sure to supply whatever habitat and food the babies need.

Yea, the only thing I?m going to try to breed is the maroon clown first and see if can succeed first. They already breed in the main tank; I figure I try them first. Plus try couple of fragment stuff. :)
