Need advise quick

So im starting to take my sand out to go barebottom, my question is could i siphon out the sand into a 5 gal bucket and let the sand settle and add that water back into the tank to continue siphoning?
or what would you do if you were in my position?

Please add new water... water in the bucket with the sand will have a LOT of unwanted chemicals that can crash your system...

Once you disturb the sandbed, all those chemicals will leach into the water.
