I have a FOWLR and my levels were good and added 1 clownfish and 1 snail and 2 hermit crab both adapted very well. Bought another clownfish and a Horseshoe Crab and almost both are adapting well. Not sure why but after a few hours of having it in the tank.. it is cloudy I bought a new cartridge for the filter before adding the 2nd clownfish and horseshoe crab.. I had a few test strips and checked and everything was good! I noticed the Horseshoe Crab walks around and somewhat lifts the sand but not sure if its so much to make it cloudy. I dont know if its because of new filter cartridge or maybe the circulation pump. I shut it off but doesn't seem to change anything. I used the real ocean water to set up my tank and still have some should I try a water change?

Not to be rude, but I think you're moving way too fast.

If the sand in the tank is new anything that moves it or stirs it up, even a little, is going to release the small dust particles that are in it. So anything in the tank causing it to move could potentially cause more cloudiness. As before, it will eventually clear; filtered, skimmed out, or "age and settle".

You need to slow down, take a break from adding livestock, and let the tank mature before making any other additions or changes.

You also need to do some research before purchasing livestock. That horseshoe crab really has no place in a 10g tank: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=497+501+614&pcatid=614

Its fine I am eventually moving it into my bigger the tank is very small. I know that I do research before anything. But thank you!
