I just replaced the bulbs in my 6x39W Nova Extreme Pro fixture to new ATI bulbs. Since the old bulbs were the original crappy Current bulbs, and since they were long overdue for replacing, what is the best way to acclimate my tank to the new bulbs? Right now I have 3 layers of window screen over the tank but I haven't changed my photo period. Is this enough? Should I add more screens? And I was planning on removing one screen a week. Does this sound okay?

sounds fine. you might shorten your photoperiod by an hour or so too.

just watch the corals. if they look stressed, drop the light time down......

you can just do half (3 or 4hrs) your normal light cycle and add an hour every 2 or 3 days until you are back to your normal. I've done this with MH bulb changes the last few years without issues.
