Long story short, I bought the new MP40QD wetsides for my old MP40.
I highly recommend replacing your MP40 wetside with MP40QD wetside. It FIX the problems that plague their wetsides for years!
1. It is fully compatible with old MP40s.
2. It is VERY well built compare to the old style.
3. Now it has a shaft that connect the cover to the magnet, that solved the wobbling issue that destroyed many old style wetside.
4. It put out more flow
5. IT IS QUIET!!!! yes!! Even without the QD driver, the MP40 runs much quieter.
