New Solaris Competition.

I wonder what their pricing will be.

Thats the thing that might make or break them for sure.

It certainly looks nice. I wonder whats the price of it.
For a 24" solaris H4, it's ~$1600! I'm looking for some competitor before I take the plunge.

No different than what an Aquacontroller III + software does. You can restrict access via filtering rules on your networking equipment if you're really worried.. and nobody's going to hack into your PC to control your lights... ;)

My Guess would be to communicate with the Firmware or active running program. Instead of worrying about a serial of cable to connect to a pc you can set On/Off times. Change Time and season Charts for lighting. The solaris does it through the light itself but it is clunky, No problem once you know it. Other then that I dont see what else can be done via bluetooth other than controlling your light with a cell phone.

You can probably control everything via bluetooth from bluetooth enable computer/laptop.

Plus bluetooth is faster than serial cable and no wire.
