ok couple of questions, i asked these questions inmy black pvc thread but figured id get a better answer if i make this thread. im building a 120g 4x2x2 tank, 40g breeder for a sump. as of right now i am planing on having a eheim 1260 return pump, and im going to be using a bm-nac7 skimmer in sump. will this setup work fine? i wanna do 2 1 inch drains to sump. what size return should i use? also i will have a mp40esw and 2 tunze 6025 modded for power heads. also this tank will be mostly zoas, palys, lps, and a couple monti caps. no sps as of right now. i thing the power heads are more then enough flow for what i wanna keep. so im not looking for the return to be a huge source of water flow

I'd go with a Octopus XP2000 series skimmer myself. I have the XP1000-SSS on a 60 and it kicks butt.

That's a giant price diff. We will see. I more or so looking for an answer on what return size I should be going with. I think 3/4 is what I should have but unsure. I'm trying to odered all my obv supplys, so I can get the tank drilled and back on the stand.

I have a 4x2x2 120G with dual overflows. The drains are 1" - two separate lines down the the sump in the basement. I have one 3/4" line as the return from the basement. Just under the tank, in the stand, I T- the return to each of the return lines in the overflow. I have the Reeflo Hybrid return pump dialed way back and I have plenty of return flow from the dual, split loc-lines.

For powerheads I have two Sicce Powerstream 4000s, one on each side of the tank, running on alternating 15 minute intervals. Lots of flow; sometimes I think too much.

Lots of pictures in my build thread.
