The polyps were orange and the calcium base was white w/ slight orange tint. very white at the tips. Maybe previous owner bleached and I brought it back. But that reefer told me it was orange digi.....
My guess is it is getting too much light. That is usually a sign of stress. Place the coral in a little lower lighted area in the tank & let it be for a couple weeks. It will take about that long to return to it's natural color. (make sure all your params are in order too!)
It's hard to give Spyro's digi too much light. I have his orange one and it does very well directly below 400w MH in my frag tank. It turns from orange-like orange to a rich sunset-like orange with lots of light. The tops can be white or pink depending on growth rate.
Similarly, at the bottom of my display (low light), it stays orange-like orange.
It was definitely a very rich orange and now is light pink. Polyps arent all the way out, so its definitely not totally enjoying itself. It IS growing though. I'll check the ALK when I get home.
I havent had a chance to hang the halides yet, so theyre sitting really low, and this may be the issue.
he could be...but that would mean i am too I saw it when we picked it up at the meeting because it was going to be mine but i told him he could take it (being my brother and all) I just saw it on sunday and it was pink, and definitely wasn't when it went in the system.
