Again just doing some research again... I think I'm def getting the 14K 150W phoenix bulb with 2 (or as many as I can fit on my 55g) T5 bulbs and was going to get some actinic bulbs but what does everybody think about adding 6500K T5 bulbs for more growth seeing how the 14K phoenix bulbs are blue'ish? Would this just get rid of that nice blue tint I want to go for? Thanks for the input.

Wouldn't be nearly as good as 10k halide with t-5 actinic. 150w Phoenix bulbs are almost 20k blue and the intensity is in the cellar. Not a good sps light IMO, fine for lower light stuff. People always want that blue look, but the intensity sacrifice is huge, and blue halides burn out much faster.

I currently run a 150W DE 14K Pheonix with two Actinic t5s. Personally, I like the look (almost too blue maybe) but growth is not definitely not the best.

In the near future I plan on going down to a Reeflux 12K or 10K and see if it helps the growth...
