Please Help the marine biology / aquaculture students of Durfee HS, Fall River MA

Many donation were collected for them to get them through the summer.

No other movement has been made as once the donation were made, no communications have transpired.

However it also brought many others to come to the site to ask for help as well.
It comes to a point of who get what help and what is acceptable for the use of group resources. Group comes first, if there was an extremely large surplus then possibly we could allocate some type of resources. But with that come many responsibilities and issue that fall on the BOD and are not so easy to just sort out.

The last issue is this type of Discussion (what is being done) has no business on the open forum and is considered a "Paid members" only discussion. As the paid member are the that make this all possible they are the only ones that are allowed to discuss these type of business issues, as their paid status affords them that luxury to help decide what direction the club goes in.

If you would like to discuss this more in depth please take it up in the business section of the forum. http://bostonreefers.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25

If you are not a "Paid member" you won't have access to the link above

It's too bad that no communications have transpired.since summer

That is excellent! That is really where the power of this club to help out external educational and conservation programs lies, in the motivation of our membership to contribute to great programs like this one.

I do have some ideas for how we (the BRS as an organization) can help to better get the word out on opportunities such as this one, but exploring the viability and methods of implementation for these ideas will take some time, so please be patient.

The club leadership is always open to ideas and suggestions that folks feel may benefit the club or help in the pursuit of our charter. Anyone holding a stake in the BRS is welcome to PM their ideas to a BoD member, or post them for consideration in the BRS Business forum.

There was NP with asking and you were given an answer. It is a great thing to help fellow reefers, I have for many years.

Ideas were presented from this end not sure what happened from there.

opening communications

Hi All,

I thought that this was a dead horse, but generosity begets this awesome season.

I believe my wife did forward background info, but I am making certain of that now.

Maybe the email was lost / not sent but I believe it was. Katie is checking into that right now.

We have been busy over the last five months with our son, Evan. He was born a little early on June 28. He was not premature, and healthy. What a wonderful gift life is. Our tank has not suffered, Evan loves it, especially our spotfin butterfly.

More to come.

Vinny

Wish I could help!!! Dishwashing does not make any where near enough money to even put a dent in what you need let alone fund my tank =( i would love to help out with any moves of big tanks/setup of big tanks etc. i need community service hours to graduate!!
