Please help with a Green Tree that will not open

I had the tree for about a month. About two weeks ago it stopped opening. I do not have that much in the tank yet but all zoas, mushrooms, encrusting gorgonia and a toadstool are expanding very well. In fact the toadstool is only 2" high and the polyps are expanding at least 1/2".

I measured the following
pH 8.0 to 8.3 daily cycle (using a calibrated probe)
Alk 160 using Salifert
Ca 420 using Salifert
Mg was low but not 1250 using Salifert
PO4 I do not have a test
Ammonia and Nitrate are undetectable
Salinity id 33 ppt with a calibrated refractometer

The only thing I can think of is that about the time the coral stopped expanding its polyps, I used Phosphate absorber to control a small algae outbreak. I removed the phosban about 5 days later and have not used it since. The algae it gone too. Also, I did two 15 gal water changes in the last two weeks.

Thanks for the help. I am not sure what to do.

Give it some time.Mine will stay closed for days if bothered.Running carbon?

Yes I am running carbon. I also ran polypad for 4 days but it did not even get a hint of color so I think I do not have anything nasty.

Mine did this once, closed for a few days. I moved it up to a higher light/higher flow area and it opened up within a day. It does tend to close up for no apparent reason for an hour or two pretty regularly though.
