Pod ID...

I've got these really neat looking pods in my tank that I never noticed in my old 29g.

I wanna say they're amphipods?

Some are little, and some are BIG like very large. Biggest is the size of a computer keyboard key.

I'm sure they're safe and i'm in no way worried, just wanted to find the specific type they are.

Wish this weren't a 5g so I could drop in a mandarin cuz this tank is PACKED with pods. You have no idea.

But yeah out of nowhere I have like hundreds upon hundreds of these guys everywhere. They don't even hide from light or predators. Pretty neat.

You don't have any hungry fish in there?

Nope. All I have is a tailspot blenny but he doesn't eat pods.

I am sure you had them in your other tank as well, but there was probably a predator keeping them in check and thus they would hide during the day.

My banggai cardinal loves to eat those little guys... He goes nuts when he sees them. Kind of like that scene from the movie Wall-E when Wall-E chases after the laser beam like a lunatic
