Ok heres what I'm looking for..
Looking for pics of your DIY wave maker. Of particular interest is of those using a MJ1200 mod and foat switches. Those using timers - which ones are you using?
SMcnally are you still around? Are you still using yours and what was the final product outcome? What timer did you end up using? How did the 1200 hold out?

yes id like to see this as well...ive seen the setups with the 5 gallon buckets and the pumps which i was going to do...but most pumps would take 1minute to fill the 5gal bucket and that's too slow....

New2salty... thats more a surge than a wavemaker. RC has a bunch of them.. But one routine problem seems to be bubbles

Bubbles can be control by having the discharge 3inches under the surface of the tank water and the flapper set to shut with about 3 inches of water in the surge tank. Just an fyi.. I played with this for a yr before deciding not to go with it because I couldn't comfortable figure out where to put it above the tank in the living room and still have it look good.
