Free Purple sponge

I trimmed back some of my photosynthetic purple sponge if anybody would like some. Free in Griswold Connecticut

Wow ! beautiful if you weren't so far from Boston i'd be there! Where dd you get it? I have been looking for some sponges for my tank.

Hi Sonny first off welcome to the club. I've had it for a long time and think think I got it from somebody who was shutting down their fish tank. I'm not too far from Foxwoods in Connecticut if you ever find yourself that way shoot me a message and you can certainly have some but I'm pretty sure there are people up there that have photosynthetic sponge in both purple and red varieties. A word of caution is that they do produce some toxins which may inhibit Coral growth or impact SPS. My tank is all soft Coral and I run carbon so it's been fine for me. If you post that you're looking for some someone may see it and help you out. Good luck
