Question about BioCube 29gal w/ Refugium Trays

Hey everyone,

So I have had the 29 gal BioCube for 3+ months now and everything is great. I have made the basic mods to it to increase flow (cut off the tip, and put in a maxijet 900).

I have also taken all the bio balls out and put in the InTank Media Basket Refuge in there with Filter Floss, Purigen and Chemi-Pure on one side and Cheato on the other. Water is crystal clear. I use to have the Oceanic BioCube Protein Skimmer before the Media Basket and took it out since the Media Baskets got installed.

The CUC I have currently in the tank:
8 Nerite Snails
10 Nassarius Snails
2 - 3 Mexican Turbo Snails
1 Brittle Starfish
and some scarlet hermits and 1 sally light foot and some blue legged hermits.

Fish crew:
2 Clowns
1 Tri-Color Fairy Wrasse
1 Yellow tail Blenny
Also have 1 firefish but trying to catch it and get it out cuz I think I have way too many fish in there...

I also started Phyto Feast every 3 days 3 drops everytime. Since then, I see alot of brown/green on my sand. Also I can see alot of detritus building up on my sand, is that normal? Should I also put the skimmer back in?

Also what would you all recommend as a coral food mixture? Currently I only have Phyto Feast. I was looking into Roti Feast and Oyster Feast and maybe Tigger Pods. I want the corals to bloom and grow!

Also forgot to add my lights in there...

I got rid of the top and put in a egg crate and cover the top for Jumpers. I added the 24' AquaticLife T5 HO fixture with the bulbs that come with them. New Bulbs are arriving today! Can't wait.

New bulbs are:
Blue +
GE 6500k
Fiji Purple
Blue+

Picture before the lights and as it stands now.

Thanks for any advice!
