FD lenses are not compatible with EOS cameras, they are for the older generation manual focus cameras. If your camera has a red dot on the mounting surface it can take EF lenses, if it has a red dot and a white square it can also take EF-S lenses. http://photonotes.org/articles/beginner-faq/lenses.html
