question on drilling tank for overflow box

Hello i have a 72 gallon bow tank and i would like to drill bottom to install a bulkhead for a overflow box instead of using a hang over style how do i know if this glass is drillable and were would i get a drill bit to do this? thanks Derek

Most tank bottoms are "NOT" drillable.

Hey Derek, just upgraded my 30 to a 75 and the first thing I did was to drill an overflow and 2 returns. I used a kit from glass-holes that comes with an overflow box, bulkheads and drill bit. My new tank was tempered on the bottom as well so drilling on the sides was my only option. Painted that back glass black to make it all blend in.
