I did pretty much the same thing... I just used eggcrate for the hanging parts as well... Your's looks much better though...

what was great it involved no glue and no dry time just zip ties

ooooh...Saw off the tubes & drill holes in the flat part of the stock to fasten to the eggcrate with tie wraps.... My mind is working....(I usually make that part out of acrylic....)

Nice...Where did you get them from if you don't mind me asking....
