this thing is huge and gorgeous in color, i added the other day...at first it was out in the open, but the last 2 days its been hiding behind the rocks. its kind aggravating i want to enjoy the sight of it. i found a youtube video of a guy putting a strong powerhead faced at it to move it. should i try it or just leave it be and not piss it off and hope it decides to come out.

I tried the power head thing on a gbta and all it did was stay closed. I finally used an ice cube to remove it and let it settle again somewhere else.

Rub it on its foot.

I would try the power head first but keep in mind that it my split from being stressed out.

ya thats true, i think ill just leave it, its getting plenty of light so im not going to mess with it, but i think if nothing changes in a few days ill give the ice cube a try

It only been a few days, give it some time as its adjusting and perusing for home.

Yea both of ours moved for a couple weeks before settling. Then my GBTA decided after 2 months to just up and move. Give it a little while, see where he ends up

ya thats what i decided to do, just let it play out. just didnt know if there was any safe and easy tricks to get them to move without stressing them out

Mine has been moving non stop for 3 months even though my lights are timed and the current is random speed but static direction. Every day he is somewhere new. Half the time the only way I can find him is to follow the maroon Clown that never leaves its side. Stung a few corals that are now dead as well. Unfortunately its what RBTA's are known for. I am starting to think I have the one RBTA that does not like light :) he will spend 1 day open, 4 days closed with the clown trying to shove a fin in there. The Sabae on the other hand has never moved since I put it in, then again I don't think they are known to be strong movers.
