RBTA Removal

I've been trying to remove an RBTA from my DT for a few days now. Does anyone have a tried and true way of getting an anemone to detach from a rock unharmed?

I tried blocking the light for a day, and squirting cold water at it's mouth. Neither worked.

Thanks for your help!

I think people aim a powerhead towards it...

Can you get the rock out of the tank or it is too difficult? If you can get the rock out, use a hack saw to saw the rock under its foot.
Otherwise, tickle its foot with your finger may get it to release a little. Then tickle it under the foot. Slowly it will come off.

if you can get the rock out use a credit card and just slowly scrape/pick it of the rock. just be careful not to tear the foot... I've done it a few times and they always re-stick to the glass in about an hour or less with low flow...

If you can get to the foot, I outstretch a paper clip and scrape up from one edge of a foot. Once you get a little up, the whole foot lets go.

It's in a real awkward spot and when it retracts its almost invisible. Couldn't of picked a better spot!
I wish I could take rock, it would cause great disruption.

I'm gonna try powerhead idea. Sounds feasible for my situation.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences!

I have always loved the Ice Cube method. I place the cube directly on the the BTA's foot and move it around a little. After that it will just peel off with ease.
