Recommend a good herbivorous fish

Senior Toad Licker
Looking for suggestions a good herbivore/grazer to pick at some nuisance algae, not including a lawn Mower blenny.
I'm even open to getting a juv fish that may have to be removed when it reaches near adult size.
What are members experiences?

i don't think a foxface would grow too large for a 65. just don't get one of ones that grow 12+ inches. i think a foxface lo, magnificent foxface (my favorite), or a bicolor would do well. just start it out small.

Have you ever considered an urchin?

I had a foxface (lo) in my 65 for quite a while, and it chowed on everything, including halimeda. The hair algae problem I had quickly went away when I got him.

I have a Foxface Rabbit fish. No problems at all. Always picking at the rock work. Never bothered anything else.

rabbitfish ie foxface, dwarf angels excluding bi colored angels and flame angels, kole tangs yellow tangs, tomini tangs, royal or tuxedo urchins, small hermit crabs, such as red scarlet. also green emerald crabs. even queen conches. you have many options.

Rabbitfish was my first thought, possibly a Lo. A small con is they are slightly venomous, and with my luck I'd probably get stuck.

How about a Kole tang? Is the tank too small?
Hmmm...I like that option, pretty fish. How prone to ich is that fish?

Forgot about this route. I've only had longspined urchins, which were great until they reached a certain size.

What kind of algea are you dealing with?
Small bits of hair algae/bubble algae, and scraps of halimeda and caulpera that I can't seem to manicure out of the system.

That good to know. Emeralds have never worked for me though, maybe I just need a small fleet of them.
