Refugium Lighting; What's everyone using

hey Jeff,
I purposely went with the lower wattage because I don't want to deal with the heat. It just macro algae. And I hate trimming them.
I don't think you need to kill yourself over the lighting of your macro algae.
Is there a reason why you're not using the light you already have?
But you answer your question, yes the cheato do grow.

That's what I have with 65 watts, are you getting good macro-algae growth?

I'm just being super picky, my tank isn't running yet and I have time to have everything in place and exactly how I'd like it. I was going to save my CF fixture for later maybe for a QT, but I have several strip light fixtures I can use for that. I'm going to see how the CF fixture looks tonight, and make some acrylic legs for it to sit on the fuge. thanks again.

I have the 27w LOA fixture and I get very little growth. I would not buy it again. I'm thinking of moving to a CF flood light because Jenifer has had a good bit of success with them.
