Removing glass overflow... advice needed

I'm taking out one of my overflows... it is made of glass, in a running system, and is siliconed in place (thin seams just like the normal parts of a glass tank are connected). Extremely difficult to get a razor blade in there... any advice or ideas on how to seperate the glass panes from each other would be great

Can you get a extra thin guitar string in there and work it back and forth?

Sara went to the store, brought back guitar string.... worked like a CHAMP!!! No more huge ugly overflow!!!
