I think i have to do this, Does anyone have any pictures of their reverse durso? / build thread?
I searched it but everything but what i was looking for came up.
Thanks everyone.
On the Durso I would not a use a Wye a Tee works better. the Tee should be above the water line as in the picture john posted.
Also the bottom of the Durso should run to the bottom of the sump and have a slight angle so the water can exit.
make it at least two times the size of your drain plumbing.
Reverse Durso's do a few things. They allows the water and air to separate which is why you want the Tee higher than the sump water level. It aids in keeping pressure constant in the entire drain as well as controls salt spray.
One thing that will kill a Durso setup it long straight vertical drop if they create semi siphons in the plumbing it will cause a flushing of air every time the plumbing siphon breaks and resets. You can not control a plumbing siphon with the Durso and make the Durso function 100%
