RO/DI water and parameter help?

I started using RODI water on my last water change. The tank is a 6 gal Fluval Edge. From I read online, RODI water doesn't give an accurate PH reading while sitting in a bucket and it's also on the low side for calcium. Since the start of rodi water, my PH has been 8.8-8.9, and CA has been 200-250. I have been using Kent Liquid Calcium to bring the calcium up slowly. Now it's at 350, but the PH is still about the same. Before RODI switch, I was using tap water and my PH was normal (8.4) and CA was alittle low at 300 (but I never added any to the tank.)

1) How can I get the PH down to normal?

2) Should I be adding the Kent Liquid Calcium to the rodi water before adding to the tank so I don't have another huge drop?

Thanks
Vic

I would check your alk. my rodi is always low and that will affect your ca.im not sure about the ph as mine is usually low with rodi. I add a little kent buffer to mine to bring up alk and ph.

The ALK is: 2.6 Meq/lt

Really not sure why it's so high. Nothing has changed in the tank except for the use of RODI water from Rumford Pet Center in east providence, RI. Unless the ro water itself has a high PH??? Gonna bring some water up to Water World for testing tomorrow and try to figure this out before something bad happens...
