Road stool looks sick need advice

Hi everyone
I have had this road stool about 3 weeks.the other day it fell and got a small hole it the top from the live rock it was attached to.
The last 2 days it doesn't seem the same.
Different color and it's tentacles don't come out when the lights are in.
Not sure if anyone can tell me what I should due?

some times they decide to shed and stay that way for a week. does it look very shinny like has film on it .

Had one of these long time ago, got a hole like that and I ended up with two of them

I don't know how many times I thought it was a gonner... it would look terrible then bang look awesome. Same look as what you're posting.

I never did attempt to associate it with any sort of parameters etc. probably should have, but at the time I was just happy keeping things alive. Hard to see but everything else in the tank look ok?

Smarter folks likely will chime in.
