Salt Water Proofing small Magnets.

Setting up a JBJ 28 Gal, I want to install a Tunze ATO, there is very little room and the Tunze brackets bite.

Is there any coating that can be applied to magnets to keep them from rusting in SW? This would make installation and adjustments a snap.

Thanks

Rob

buy a cheap small mag float ? I use one for a nori clip, can't see why it wouldn't work in your application, unless, the magnet mess with the switch itself.

Small mag is to large, I was thinking a small refrigerator magnet about the size of a penny, it fits perfectly in the stock tunze hangers. Maybe some high end epoxy??

I forget which store sells it but its called plastic-dip. you might be able to find it at Home Depot or Lowes. its used to dip the ends of tools and give then a plastic coating. i dont know if it is reef safe but its something worth looking into.

i think gill is reading my mind i was gonna suggest the plastic dip lowes and homedepot both carry it it will be in the paint section i dunno how it will hold up to saltwater over time it works on tools good tho
