Sea Hares are just amazing.

He's eaten himself out of a home. I still find it amazing how much and how fast these guys eat. Took him out of the display yesterday and put him in my 55 gal fuge. He's already eaten over half the hair algae in the fuge, by tomorrow there won't be any.

Drops down off the overflow for his next golfball size piece.

Rips it off the rock.

And it's gone in about 5 mins.

Good boy.:)

Will he eat other stuff when/if the HA is gone?

I blew all my rock work off multable times, using filter soxs to filter the sediment, changed out my RO filters, stepped up my water changes, got my nutrents under controll and with his help my tank is looking pretty good. I'm very happy with the results.

Tank looks great!
How long did it take for that bad boy to eat up all the algae in your DT

No. I've watched him get smaller and smaller after his food supply ran out. He'll be on loan to a new home with plenty to eat tomorrow.:)

I resemble that remark. :p

After about a month I didn't have any noticeable algae. He roamed the tank for about another month. After that he started noticeably losing body weight. I tried bouncing him between my tanks, but between cleaning up my act and his appetite I just won't be able to keep him alive and healthy.
Kind of funny as big and clumsy as it seems, it's actually very agile. Never knocked over any corals, like some of my larger snails do.:)

Tank looks great Bill, it is filling in nicely. Now where's the FTS? :D

BRS sea hare, I want to be next in line.;) We got one awhile back, It did nothing but die in less then a week.
