Seneye Monitoring system, did anyone sign up for its beta?

I tried to but it would not let me get past the first step .It kept giving an error on tank size . I tried gallons and liters to no avail ...
It is supposed to be reasonable so I am guessing the money is on the monthly 8 dollar monitoring . I am trying to figure how how it measures par and mind you this item has to be in the tank at all times .

Hmm I was not aware there was a reliable and affordable way to constantly measure ammonia. Color me skeptical. Although it would be great if there was, because then the other controller companies would quickly introduce that as well.

Beyond that, the main problem I see for this thing is that it would have to be awfully cheap. Because for around a hundred bucks you can get an entry level controller than not only monitors temp and pH, but can be programmed to take action based on those things. And you can access them from web browsers and smart phones and whatnot. So considering Seneye doesn't offer control, it would have to be WAY cheaper than $100.

Ergo my question about anyone signing up for Beta.

Jocko I know of controllers that can take action based on temp, but what controllers react to PH and what do they do?

Well almost any controller supports one or more pH probes. For example I have 2 pH probes hooked up to my Apex. One I just use to just monitor. It's actually quite interesting to look at a graph of it over, say, a weeks time. The other probe measures the effluent from my calcium reactor and this is used to control a solenoid to control the flow of CO2 into the reactor to maintain the pH within the optimal range for the media to slowly dissolve.

You could get really creative though. For example if your pH dropped too much in your tank, you could program it to have your fuge light come on early. Or maybe mess around with having your skimmer on or off. Or maybe fire up a kalk reactor or something.
