Skimmer Waste Cup Drain hole size?

I have a Reef Octopus RO-PS-3000 INT Skimmer.
Any idea what size the drain tube plug hole is (looks to measure at 1/2")?
Looking for a definite and cannot find on instruction manual.
After 6+months of draining by pulling the plug is getting old REAL fast..............want to get a hose and drain into a large container.

I was in the same spot with my Hydor so I just cleaned the cup, left the skimmer off for a bit, and took the cup to HD to test fit it. I'm always bringing random stuff in there to find what I need.

Its either 3/8, or 1/2. Like Mr X said just bring it in to HD. What I have done in the past if a hose is a little to small just put the end into some boiling water and then force it over the end, and secure with a tie wrap.
