skimming wet or dry?

what is better a thin "wet" foam or a thick dence foam. the "wet" foam may take out more, but is it better?

I'm of the oppinion that once something skimmable gets into the foam collumn, its not getting out, so I really dont think it matters.

Everything I have read says nice dark (coffee) drier skim.
