So what's the verdict on the new Rio Seio?

Deafasa
I would say that a 55 would be a good candidate for a Seio, maybe a couple of them with a wavemaker.

I'm running a 620 in my 55 and I think it's working great. My SPS seems to like it. I'm also running a maxi 1200 at the opposite end of the tank, though, as I don't think the flow is strong enough to reach that end of the tank. I wasn't thrilled about the bulkiness of it at first, but it just sort of blended in and don't notice it as much anymore. I was going to clean it (hadn't done that since I bought it almost 2 months ago) and it really didn't need to be cleaned that much at all.

I have two 820's in my 55. They are mounted in opposite rear corners, pointed toward the front center. I alternate them at random times, and also together. I have a brand new wave maker, but don't want to risk demagnetizing the impellers. So far I like them very much, running about six weeks.

I've had my seio 820 for about a month. The only problem I've had is the suction cups needing repositioning. It gives a more gentler flow than my maxijets.

I just sold my two brand new ones due to all the posts I read on RC. A rio is a rio!!!!!!!!!! stick stop bla bla bla. Not the gadget for me!!

I like them a lot, I have 2 620's running in my 58, I like the amount of flow they put off. I have one mounted with suction cups and so far have had no problems. The other is hang on. No complaints here.

Anybody think a 40b tank would be too small ?
(Softies not SPS)
When I had my SCWD closed loop it seemed to be too laminar, I was going to try to redesign it for a better flow, but might try one of these...

We are running two of the small ones (620?) in our frag tank. It is a little much for fish, but the corals love it.
