Standard Water Pressure?

Does anyone have an idea of what their houshold water pressure might be... I'm no suppose to exceed 75gph? I know every house differs but is there a slight chance that a home only does a certain amount give or take?

This is for my RO/DI ReefKeeper

Mine runs around 55-60 psi.

Mine is 75 PSI, I assume you mean 75 PSI not 75 gph as that is a flow rate not a pressure rating. I would not worry if you are over by some on the pressure they have a safty factor built in.

Yeah, I meant PSI..... That's good to know... I don't have a guage at the moment but want to hook this up tonight...

Yes I have a RO/DI, the gauge is on my main house tank, not "on" the rodi.... I have a 100 gph unit, but that is under perfect conditions.... I can get 50 - 75 gallons in a 24 hour period, but I would need to flush the membrane a couple times to do it.

O.k so I shouldn't worry if it's a little more than 75psi..... I do have pretty good pressure here. I'm hooking this up for the first time... any helpful hints?

I wouldnt worry. Most times the issue is not having enough pressure.

Make sure you do not use like the first 5 gallons.

What do you do with the wast water? Is it non drinkable, because I can put the waste water right to the drain pipe.

It is not drinkable to me but some people use it to water plants etc.

Good enough for me.... I'm going to go hook this up now.... thanks for the help everyone!!!! :)

mines 60 in charlestown;
you can get a 4$ pressure gauge that will go onto a hose conection from lowes
or home depot

I'll do that....a little cheaper at lowes then on airwaterice.. where I was about to order one... Thanks Boston BB you saved me some money!! I just hooked up my RO/DI !!!!!!! I'm siked, I thought it was going to be a huge deal... I should have done this sooner.
