Sump seam fail

FISH and CHIPS
Yes it can and will happen. Just another long week in the hobby. Be very careful with aqueon tanks. The aqueon 75g was purchased brand new 7 months ago. Floor seam let go. To stem the flow, Plumbing cut and rerouted to temp tub so electricity and 60g of water could be dealt with, then cut again the following day and replumbed to side to temp acrylic sump. 100g sump being built. With all the extra heaters and pumps the tank looks like it never skipped a beat. Even with a 14 hour temp drop to 70. Still not finished cleaning up, kitchen, yard, laundry, but im getting there. Tank sat happy, quiet and stable for the first time last night. ❤❤❤❤ reef on!!!!!

Did you break the 75 glass to get the sump out? Sorry to hear your troubles.

How did you put the sump in if you can’t take out?
As the build started, before tank went on stand, back brace removed. Its a planet stand and does not allow for entrance thru front door openings. I was thinking 3 years then drilling floor to basement sump. Lolol.

Was it meant to be going in and out from the side of the cabinet? How are you going to put the new sump under it now? Or are you just going to sump the sump next to it and wait for the basement sump set up. If it was me, I would cut the side of the stand and slide the sump in and out that way. Then make a removable side panel or door.

Starting to look like value tanks may be more trouble than they are worth. I gifted an aga all glass aquarium that was probably 15 plus years and all seems were still in great shape. The growing pains in this hobby ugh

Beginning to wonder if the horse trough sturdy wise way to go. It was very scary having all that water on floors.

Ouch. I'm glad you didn't lose anything and are able to maintain until you could affix the new arrangement for your DT. Damn hurdles sck you know what! LOL
