Sunburst anthiast help

So I picked up a sunburst anthiast about two weeks ago. All it seems to do is hide all day and night. I don't even see it come out to eat. I've been spot feeding it because I want to make sure it's eating. Is it normal for this fish to be so skiddish? In the tank I have
2 blue throat triggers
2 clowns
1 hippo
1 yellow tang
1 diamond goby
1 flame angel
1 sudocromi

In my experience (I had a pair for a couple years), they preferred low lighting, and were much more active in the morning and at night. They were picky eaters, frozen mysis and emerald entree seemed to work for them, and like many anthias they didn't do well with my more aggressive fish (angels and tangs). I put them in a separate tank (with lots of rock for them to hide) alongside some chromis and a couple clowns, and the did very well together until I broke down the tank for a move. Best of luck to you!

Similar experience with anthias being both picky eaters and prone to being picked on. I'd guess that they're intimidated by your more aggressive fish (triggers/tangs/angels). Unfortunately, I didn't have long term success with my anthias, but if I were to give them another try I'd do a big broadcast feeding of mixed foods so that they did not have to compete with the pigs. I never got my anthias to eat dry (and I really tried - even soaking in selcon / garlic / mixing with mysis). Now that i feed almost exclusively frozen, and often times very fresh "seafood mush" I bet I would have more success.

TLDR: Try broadcast feeding large amounts of finely chopped frozen / fresh to prevent competitive eating.

I've been spot feeding him mysis. Hoping he eats it. Maybe it will come out at some point. I haven't noticed any bullying. But then again I can't watch the tank 24/7
