I'm changing from IO that is in my 150 to TM reef pro in my 180. I was wondering if i used half of the IO water in my 150 and other half new TM pro reef would it be OK? My levels in my 150 right now are: Calcium 460, DKH 10, PH 8.2, Salinity 1.025, Mag 1250. Is the Tm pro that potent that these levels would go out of whack? I can buy a bucket of regular TM if that would work better. TIA for any help......

I've never used TM Pro, but I've switched from IO to TM and back to IO with no problems.

I would start the change over with my water changes, not as part of the tank move. I am a firm believer in that only bad things happen quickly in a tank. No sense stressing the tank more than needed.

I switched from IO to Pro Reef with no problems at all. All I did was introduce the Pro Reef in my water changes and everything handled it just fine.

I agree. I did pretty much what you're asking in my tank move (and I'm not saying it was necessarily the problem) and I lost a lot of stuff. You're adding a lot of stresses to the animals moving them, I woudltn add any more.
