T5/BB Reef is almost done (pics)! Does LFS sell "old" sand (for my fuge)?

Does any of the LFS sell cured Live sand that I can seed my new fuge with? Does anyone know roughly how many inches I would need If I could provide fuge dimensions (3"?...4"? etc.). Thanks!! Steve.

I was under the impression that Bare Bottom tanks were supposed to be sand bed free. I seem to recall Bomber on RC explaining how they are sink holes for waste. Has there been new research to suggest otherwise?
