T5 Lighting

I've read conflicting reports about how long T5 lamps maintain spectrum. Anywhere from the traditional 6 months for most lamps, to 12000 hours / 3+ years! So I have no idea when they actually "need" to be replaced and have been replacing them every 6 months. Has anyone read any actual data or know of any legitimate testing done on how long they maintain spectrum?

If they're (fan) cooled, I think 18 months is reasonable. if not,look at 12 months.

Your mileage may vary, but that was what I saw, and what I still see with my fixtures

JayM is on the money.But if your overdriving them more like 7-9 months for actinics and 12-16 for all others.
