Tank Weight on Second Floor

I'm thinking about a 50 or 70 gallon tank in my bedroom, which is on the second floor. The two walls I'm considering are load bearing (wall beneath them). I read somewhere that most homes, regardless or era in which they were built, are designed to support roughly 150 lbs. per square foot of live load. My house was built in 26, but the floors seem pretty sturdy. Should I worry about this?

TIA,
Paul

i wouldnt, i had my 90 on a third floor at one point. no problem at all

My bookcases weighed more per sq ft than most tanks. (6ft tall by 20" by 7ft long) I would not worry about a tank of that size.

Thank guys. But now I can't decide whether to try a trial run of keeping a 50 gallon reef in my bedroom or bypass it and go for a 90 or 100 in my dining room.

I did thank God. Pretty strong Condo building I should note that. I dont want someone living in an older wood apt. on the 6th floor thinking they can load up!
