120 G 48 x 24 x24 dual dorso overflows. 100 lbs of dry rock was used which was additional to the 55 lbs of live rock from the tank swap. I run a 48”reef-breeders photon V2 LED light with aquatic life T5ho hybrid. this is a mixed reef softies, lps and sps.

This was upgraded from a tank swap of my 55G last August 2017 For the heart of the system, I run a trigger sapphire 34 sump. Within the sump I run a Deltec xi1000 skimmer, (2) reactors with activated carbon as needed and Biopellets in the other. I run (2) 500 watt heaters (1) is a backup. For my return pump I have the Jebao DCP-10000 sine wave DC unit. I also run a Reef Octopus Varios CR-140 CA reactor with reborn media in it. This is fed from 5lb. bottle of Co2 with a tunze regulator and milwaukee electric solenoid valve and a Aqua UV 25 watt UV sterilizer. Everything is tied into my extensive apex system. My System runs at 78.2 degree avg.

Salt mix is Tropic Marin Pro

Test kits used Hannah for alk and phos, Red sea for all others. Run neptune Trident also

SG 1.026

Alk 8.5-9.5

Ca 450-490

Mag 1390-1450

Nitrate less than 10-20ppm

Phosphate .30-1ppm

100 Gallon Cadlights and 80 Gallon Deep Blue that share a common Trigger Systems 34 gallon sump. Reef Octopus Elite 200SSS skimmer, Jebao DCP-8000 for flow, 4 Tunze 6095's for wavemakers, two 150 watt Jager heaters, 40 watt Pentair UV sterilizer, Geo 8-18 CaRx with Reborn media, Aquarium Plants carbon doser regulator, Kamoer Fx-stp doser to pull water through the reactor.

ATI 8 bulb 5 blue plus, 1 purple plus, 1 aquablue special, and 1 coral plus for DT. Frag tank has old Aquaticlife 4 bulb t5 with 3 blue plus and 1 purple plus. 2 Tunze eco chic lights on refugium, GHL Profilux P4 for controller with GHL 2.1 doser sitting idle below it. Some day I'll get around to ordering some dosing tubing to dose my dailies.
Cumulation of different smaller tanks from the past 5 years or so. System has been up and running for about a year now and having some steady but small growth on the acros. Salt is Brightwell Neo Marine but am running Reef Moonshiner's Method and haven't done a water change since April. So far so good.

Pretty blue hue. Very nice

I run a rehabbed 180g planet mixed reef tank. Ai lights above tank. Maxspect gyres and hyggar mini wave WaveMakers. Auto aqua top off unit. Brs gfo reactor. Started with 50 pounds of rock from 50g upgrade added 200 plus dry cured to build the tall nem tree and load sump. Temp sump to side till new sump comes in. Big aquamaxx skimmer, Chaeto with 8 inch sanded under. Diy egg crate stand under overflow with cut filter pad. Apex and trident keep things in check. Lights are on their own power strip. Finnex and inkbird Heaters on a separate outlets in wall. I just don't trust eb outlets after one outlet went bad. fish: powder blue, 5 chromis, pair pygmy angels, pair of gold stripe Morons (lol). , lots of coral. Use hannas and salifert tests. (Struggle to keep nitrates up in this build) dose: alk Calc brs two part, mag, strontium, iron and ab+. And nitrates on continous dose thru Trident. Nitrates .08, phos .06, Calc 460, mag 1500. Foods: pellets for bottom feeders and sea cucumber, some flake, nori, hatched brine, lfs frozen, mastic under nori, reef roids and two little fishies dry algae, sand sifting stars and chocolates for harlequin shrimp, octopus for two large serpents and crabs.

I'm new to saltwater but had plenty of freshwater in the past. I bought a used red sea max 250 that was up and running. I took it all; the water, rock, sand, everything, and brought it home. It was a challenge but I got it refilled and running that same day. Even the lone surviving Damsel made the trip from Springfield to Billerica. That was about four months ago and I thought I got a DEAL  ;)

Since then I retrofitted the partially working original 6 light T5 fixture in the hood with Current USA Dual LED's and Loop system. It still fits in the hood but I leave the front open for air exchange and to keep the heat manageable.
The original skimmer was toast so I replaced with an Aquamaxx WS-1.
Then came the Tunze ATO.
While I was that far into it I replaced the returns with a Current 6008 and 6009 return pump. There's two pumps in the AIO sump on this tank.
I tried two Reefbreeder RP-M's but thought the pattern was too wide so I changed those out for a Jebao SW-10 and SW-30.
Then I didn't think the Aquamaxx was doing enough for the tank so I replaced that with a Deltec MC501 skimmer.
Most recently was the used RODI.
The heater is the only original piece that plugs in I still use!

The Damsel, Felix, is now living with a pair of Mocha Storm Clowns, Frank & Jalapeno, (Don't let your ten your old niece name your fish!) There's a good mix of snails and a handful of hermits in there now also. I'm learning that I have a bunch tiny little brittle stars, at least one chiton and possibly a single aiptasia that is making me think of getting a peppermint shrimp this week.

I've gotten corals and equipment from: @frank180reef, @ChrisV, @banshee1, @dz6t, @shrimpchips, @jdemarco, @LoveTheReef and a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting.

That "DEAL" I got has been multiplied by some number I don't even like to think about. I call the whole thing "therapy" now so I feel better.

75g display, 40b frag tank and a 40b sump. I just upgraded from a 60 cube lost way more coral than I would like to admit (faulty heater). I use 3 24" reefbreeders between the frag tank and the main display. They are both tied into the one sump. Current livestock is 2 clowns, 2 bangaii cardinals, Mel wrasse, radiant wrasse, 6line wrasse, blue stripe pipe fish, flagfin goby, algae bleny, baby hippo tang, scopas tang, clown tang, cleaner wrasse. Believe it or not with all these fish I still can't get about .2 ppm of nitrates in my tank. I planned on this tank being a sps Dom but that didn't happen lol( it's a mixed reef more leaning to sps though).

Me to on nitrates. If I don't dose it falls to 0.00.

Well, it’s a bit smaller than everyone else’s, but it’s my first step back into the hobby since I shut down my last system in 2016. Fluval EVO 13.5 with the Kraken Reef mesh lid, AI Prime 16HD, stock return pump, Nero 3 wavemaker, Tunze 3152 ATO, 50W Eheim Jager heater, Intank Media Basket (carbon, bio media, floss).

The only thing I do a little differently is exclusively use Natural Sea Water that I collect at Winthrop Beach (from the jetty on the north side). I’ve always wanted to use NSW and a tank this size makes it easy/practical. Good excuse to get to the beach too. The tank is only about 6 months old and the jury is still out on NSW for the long run, but so far I’m really enjoying it. I’ve never had coral growth like this in such a young tank. I’ve also never seen the feeding response in coral during a water change like I do in this tank.

Right now we have a 20gal Nano. Its been running just about a year. Filled with GSP, Xenia, Mushrooms, Gorgonians, Hammers, Duncans etc. and an RBTA. Lighting is an old Reef Lux LED set on 50% Blues and 3% White. No Red. Filtration is a Tidal 55 HOB with Matrix and Carbon. There is a Jabao SLW 20 Wave Pump set on 20% with moderate pulse mode. This is a minimalist tank, and was designed to overgrow and cover all the rock work. There are a pair of Ocellaris Clowns, one regular and one black and white, and a Starry Blenny (He’s the Chief of the Tank). This Tank shows that you can enjoy the hobby, create a beautiful piece of art and not spend a lot of money. The best part is that my kids do all the work! Although, since breaking down my125, I have paid more attention to this tank

I absolutely love it. Great job. So balanced. Pat yourself on the back.
