trumpet coral question

i bought a trumpet coral a while ago.. and for a little while it recessed and now its back to full health.. my question is, why would it be white in color? i am running a 90 gallon rectangular tank with 150watt dual HQI bulbs at 14k.. i thought they are suppose to be greenish in color.. is it because they are feeding mostly off the water column?

apparently it bleached.. that is why it is white. as long as it is not receeding anymore keep it in the tank. It will eventually regain enough of the zooanthelle to have the color it needs.. or rather the color we expect.
I had a colony bleach when the temp reached over 98 degrees in my tank one day(don't ask)... I went from 30 heads to about 10. but over the course of a year they regained color... and now they are doing well.. at least if I could quit dropping them when I rearange the tank.

it did receed.. it was weird because it looked totally different.. i QT it for a few days with some dips.. nothing.. so i put it in a low flow area.. took about a month and now it looks like a regular trumpet but no color.. so eventually the zooanthelle will come back? thats good to know.. looks kind of freakish being white.. i should sell it on ebay as a "rare" trumpet! ;)
