Tunze Osmolator with Kalkwasser Reactor Question...

I just connected a BARR Aquatics Kalk Magnetic Stirrer Reactor http://www.barraquatic.com/kalk_instruct.php to my Tunze Osmolator to top off with Kalk.

Because the hose from the Osmolator is larger than the input for the Reactor, I had to reduce the Tunze hose size to a 1/4" OD line to get it to work.
Well... Now my Osmolator won't run regularly. What I mean is that the pump runs when I first plug it in (Yellow Light), then the light stays on for a bit, then the low water light (Red Blinking) comes on. I also added an airline check valve just after the pump (Yes, it set to the correct orientation :p)
to prevent a Back-siphon, that DOES occur without it.

Has anyone had similar issues? I'm really looking for suggestions or unproven ideas even.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I'm not sure I really followed that thread. Is Roger suggestion melting the R/O tube and forcing it into the Osmolator Pumps output line?

That's what it sounded like to me.
But,I'm thinking the osmolator is shutting down cause it can't draw enough vaccum cause of going from 7 mm to 1/4.
That's only the difference of .025 in diameter.

Well, I tried it out and it looks like a disaster waiting to happen. On the upside, I noticed that magnetic interference can cause the ATO to act pretty funky so I moved the unit further away from the Magnetic Stirrer, lol. It appear to be working, I'll just need to keep an eye to make sure the pump can keep up with evaporation. I do have a spare pump just in case.

Thanks again for all the help!
