Under the knife AKA A cut above the call of duty

It really is hard to make the first cut. I was holding the razor, looking at my largest mushroom with great hesitation. Unsure if I was making a mistake I carved that sucker into 4 equal pie shaped sections. Uh-oh, then I looked at the other large shroom on that rock and said the h$ll with it and cut it in half as well. I still feel kinda bad for taking a razor to an animal that doesn't need a hair-cut, but I am sure to get over it soon.

For me, (as a semi-newb, I would say at least a years experience would end that title) that was my first coral propagation and I did it this morning. I really was very nervous to make that first cut. I want to wait and see how they heal before I move on to other corals.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my first coral cutting adventure and thank everybody who gave/sold frags and/or equipment to me and for everyone who posts great advice on this board for all to read.

They are small right now, here's a pic. I cut right through to the foot of the shroom, I hope that is Ok.

I just did this a week ago for the first time. I sliced off 3 mushrooms from a rock and then put them on a small piece of rock and used a rubberband to hold the shrooms to the rock. Four or five days later I removed the ruberband and they had all attached to the rock. I was real nervous doing it but they all seem fine now. I am sure yours will do good.

NO TIPS JUST have a few beers first LOL
first time I did it I used the bridle viel method melted all but 4 so now I just cut and leave in the rubble no problems with that except every so often my watchman dont like where they are and decide to transport elsewhere..
