Underside (trunk) of Branching Corals Bleaching

I have a Stylophora and also some Branching monti and ive noticed some bleaching near the base of the "tree".

Im assuming this is due to not enough light reaching the trunk? Does anyone have any suggestions for this? I run 2 x 250 MH lighting and the frags are on a rack near the top, not sure what else I can do aside from laying the frag on its side to get a better tan....?!

stylo, birdnest, and a few others are known for this.....only way to keep control of this is triming it to get more light ....but if you ever want to grow a massive colony of these types of corals it will always happen.....

A birdnest will also bleach from Alk problems.
I have lost many BN from the base up.
