want to add a sump/refugium to my fluval edge.......possible?

i plan to add a sump and refugium to my fluvaledge. its only 6 gallons so i would like to add some water volume. i want to drill it and the glass is ~5mm thick. is it possible to drill that?

what size hole would i need?

any help is great
