Want to raise CA using Randy's part I.

I made up some CA using Randys Part I recipe and I want to use it to raise my Ca from 380 to 425. Has anyone used this recipe. I have Dow Flake I used. My water volume is around 70g and using the reef calculator it says to use 10.9 fl oz. It also says to put 1/3-1/2 in and then wait and test next day. Anyone use this method to raise their Ca?

I use the same recipe but i just dump it all in the sump at once,don't try that with the ALK part
