· I was setting up a Lab at University of New England to test water quality.
We were using some equipment that is used in aquaculture.
Some of these are used by advanced hobbyist.
Does anyone use any of these? I know the light meter is used a lot.
I have seen some use of Lamotte Smart3 Colorimeter also.
The SpectroVis Plus is an example of a test system that has dropped in price.
I not sure if any one in the reef hobby has developed test for it or adapted
test kits.
YSI Professional Plus which measures temperature, salinity, DO, pH, ORP and atmospheric pressure.
LabQuest 2 with Ion-Selective Electrodes (ISE) for Ammonium, calcium and nitrate
Lamotte Smart3 Colorimeter with test for ammonia, nitrate, phosphate…
MQ-200 Quantum meter with a water proof sensor
SpectroVis Plus spectrophotometer chemical test and to measure light spectrum.
