Window screen kit and pond netting or finer netting. Both bought off eBay I'll send you a pic if you wanna see it

send me one too please trying to find a way to cover one of my 210s , If I can ever get the system stable lol.

This is what I did. It's clear poly screen on an acrylic frame. Ya can get the screen and just roll it into an aluminum frame for window screens. The clear stuff is nice as it allows light to pass through. The pond net will block some light and isn't fine enough to stop a small fish from maybe getting out. At least the net I have for my pond isn't

Here is how it looks on my 80 frag tank. I slipped a brace in the center to stop the edges from bowing in to much.

Puff Daddy, where did you get the clips that you are using? I've looked for something similar but haven't had any luck.

Thank you to all, I just ordered the kit from BRS

I sketched them in CAD and printed them on a 3D printer at school. I also printed 45 degree angle inserts for the screen frame to go around the overflow.

How did you attach the net to the plexi? Superglue, weld on or other?

Where did you get that acrylic frame from? That would look awesome on a frameless tank.

I built the frame. I bought a sheet of acrylic and ripped 3/4 inch strips on a table saw. Then I Weldon glued them to get her.

Choff, the original plan was to rip more strips and build another thin frame and sandwich the net. I did a test though as the net is plastic, where cut the piece I wanted laid it flat on a scrap piece of wood and put Weldon along the edge. Then I pressed the frame on the net and used weights to hold it for an hour. When I removed it, it held so that's what I went with. There a few places where I had to re glue it.

The Weldon will not bond the screen it's more like a mosquito trapped in Amber if ya get what I mean by that. So 2 things about it.1use 16 as it's thicker and it's a little messy on the edge. If I wee gonna do it for a rimless I would do the original sandwich plan which would look neater.

For a rimless I might rout a groove in the bottom to fit on the glass rim

I saw a forum post once that you can bend that metal with a heat gun to for a curve to match that overflow. I'll see if I can find it again. Looked great!

Get 3/4 komatex/azek from local lumber yard, cut into strips staple plastic clear door screen, measure so it fits right into the glass canopy grooves, unless you have a rimless in which you need to hog out the 3/8" for the glass

Cheers, the remorseful goby keeper

I like it.
Probably if I had no canopy I might find some other fastener then staples for aesthetics
